Our virtual sound bath sessions offer the CHD community a gentle way to pause, settle in, and make space for rest—wherever you are.
No experience is needed.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience in which you rest while listening to layers of soothing sounds and gentle vibrations.
Despite its name, there is no water involved.
The word “bath” describes the feeling of being surrounded—or “bathed”—in sound.
During a session, a facilitator may use instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, gongs, drums, or other calming sounds. You do not need to sing, move, or know how to meditate. You simply find a comfortable position and listen.
How could a sound bath help?
Research specifically focused on singing bowls and sound baths is still developing. Early studies suggest that sound-based meditation may help some participants experience:
greater sense of relaxation
Less tension or anxiousness
A calmer mood
A break from racing thoughts
Increased emotional well-being
A more accessible way to practice mindfulness
Everyone responds to sound differently, and no particular result is guaranteed. Think of a sound bath as a supportive relaxation practice—not as medical or mental health treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ or reach out for a more specific question.
-
Not at all. Sound baths are beginner-friendly, and there are no movements, poses, or special techniques you need to learn.
-
Your facilitator will help you settle into a comfortable position and may begin with gentle breathing or grounding. You will then relax while listening to a series of calming sounds and vibrations.
-
Some people find that sound baths help them feel calmer, more grounded, and less overwhelmed. They may also support relaxation, mindfulness, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of connection with the body.
-
Choose a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably. You may want to bring headphones, a blanket, a pillow, an eye mask, and anything else that helps you feel supported.
-
No, but headphones may make it easier to hear the different tones and create a more immersive experience. A phone, tablet, or computer speaker will also work.
-
That is completely okay. You can participate from a bed, couch, recliner, or supportive chair. The most important thing is choosing a position that feels safe and comfortable for your body.
-
Yes. You are always welcome to keep your camera off, change positions, adjust the volume, step away, or leave the session if needed.
-
No. Sound baths are offered as a supportive wellness and relaxation practice. They are not a substitute for medical care, mental health treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
-
Sound baths are available to approved members of the Linked by Love Heart Family Community and Wellness Community.
