Not at all! While some roles—like our Parent Mentor Program—are specifically for experienced CHD parents, many opportunities are open to anyone who wants to support our mission. We welcome healthcare professionals, students, community members, and anyone who wants to make a difference.

That depends on the volunteer role. Some opportunities are one-time events, while others involve an ongoing commitment. We understand life is busy and will work with you to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your schedule.

Yes! We welcome high school and college students looking to complete volunteer or service-learning hours. We'll work with you to find meaningful projects that align with your school's requirements whenever possible.

Yes! Many of our volunteer opportunities can be completed from home. Depending on the role, you may be able to help with administrative projects, virtual support, outreach, resource development, communications, or other behind-the-scenes work.

Once we receive your application or inquiry, a member of our team will review it and reach out to learn more about your interests. From there, we'll discuss volunteer opportunities, answer any questions, and guide you through the next steps. Some volunteer roles may require additional training, interviews, or background checks before getting started.

You don't have to have all the answers or years of experience to make a meaningful impact. Many of our volunteers simply have a willingness to learn and a desire to support families affected by congenital heart disease.
